Last night, my roommates and I celebrated Cinco De Mayo a week late. Amy's boyfriend, Jorge, brought over a handful of bottles of tequila and taught us all about tequila. We taste-tested, drank Banderas, and pre-funked at home. Around 11PM, decided that we wanted some burritos.
We ventured out to Royal Booze & Burritos on the Ave and 52nd. The bar had dim lighting and a pretty cool vibe. In the back there was an open-roof area that hosted a handful of picnic tables. Unfortunately, we found out that Booze & Burritos stopped selling burritos at 10PM. Disgruntled, we left the bar in search for some greasy Mexican food.
Luckily, Memo's Mexican Food Restaurant on 47th and the Ave was open! When we got there, the place was empty. We all ordered [I got the beef taquitos with cheese] and took a seat. Not long after getting our food, the place really started to fill up. I guess other drunk people had the drunchies too! The food was very cheap, and ultimately, quite tasty. We walked home afterward feeling full and satisfied.
